Are you longing for more in life? Do you find yourself thinking, "If only I could be someone better, more successful, or more confident, then all my desires would come to life"?
This feeling often surfaces in various aspects of our lives, whether it's in our career or as a parent. We keep chasing after improvement, striving to be more stable, consistent with exercise, funny, or trendier. We try on different mindsets like it's our mission, hoping that thinking a certain way will attract the right person or opportunities into our lives. Yet, this desperate pursuit rarely brings the happiness we seek.
I vividly recall a time before I met my current partner when I, too, was on this relentless quest for self-improvement. I was convinced that healing and fulfillment lay in becoming someone else, someone better than who I was at that moment.
But then, during a quiet moment lying on the grass in my yard, a profound realization struck me:
What if true healing begins with accepting myself as I am?
This notion terrified me initially, as I believed that if I stopped trying to be more, I would be overlooked and unloved.
Yet, years later, I embarked on a life-changing practice that made me uncomfortable at first. I intentionally spent time with the parts of myself I deemed unlovable—the aspects I critiqued, like my tummy, the way I talked, or even the hair on my legs. Instead of pushing these parts away, I embraced them with love and acceptance.
Surprisingly, this shift in perspective brought about a transformation. While there wasn't an instantaneous "Big Bang" moment, I gradually started to settle into myself and trust the love that came my way. As I showed up authentically, the right people and opportunities began to gravitate towards me.
Now, I want to help you discover the power of self-love and acceptance through my 1:1 coaching intensive program, You Matter.
